This Research Software Engineer contract position will primarily focus on a new GulfSCEI project for automated AI/ML deficiency detection in flood water control structures. The position will be responsible for developing a secure web application and associated framework to allow authenticated users to submit data to be processed by the detection models.

Doctoral Research Assistant

The GulfSCEI center is currently seeking a Doctoral Research Assistant with a start date of 01/16/2024. The ideal applicant is expected to have the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience in the field of artificial intelligence, and machine learning
2. Programming experience in Python
3. Familiarity with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch

Desired Qualifications:

1. Solid understanding of linear algebra and mathematical optimization problems
2. Programming experience in C++
